HISTORY - Today
From the 1960's onwards, Kakulas Bros has continued to grow. Fresh fruit was discarded during the sixties however new lines were acquired to satisfy the needs of the next wave of immigrants. In May 1970 the second branch at 317 William St was closed. The seventies brought many from the Sub Continent and Middle East. Bulk spices and many Middle Eastern lines were added to the large range of Continental lines already stocked. During this period dried fruits and nuts were also acquired to cater for the new wave of health conscious clients.

In 1985 Stavros and Michael retired, George retired officially in 1995. The business today is run by Evan, the only son of Stavros and his cousin George Junior, youngest son of George. Both the cousins left professional careers to continue the business in the next millenium.
